One source of truth for stock and every physical movement.
Demonstration case studyFrom spreadsheets and phone checks to a shared operational picture
This demo case study shows how a custom warehouse platform can unify receiving, transfers, reservations and dispatch without forcing the team to abandon the rules that already work.
The team needed a system that reflected physical warehouse work without burdening operators with unnecessary administration.
The business problem
Teams maintained separate spreadsheets and confirmed availability by phone. Movement history was not detailed enough to resolve discrepancies quickly.
Receiving, transfers and adjustments lacked a shared audit history. Stocktaking required operations to stop, while management reports arrived days after month end.
The proposed solution
We designed role-specific interfaces for warehouse operators and managers, a central stock ledger and a traceable history for every movement.
Accounting remained the source for financial documents while the new platform owned operational inventory. An event-based integration synchronised items, orders and completed movements with monitoring around every exchange.
Delivered functionality
Multiple warehouses
Warehouses, zones, racks and bins with capacity and storage type.
Barcode operations
Expected deliveries, scanning, discrepancies, batches, images and quality control.
Batch traceability
Priority waves, routing by zone and double verification before dispatch.
Automated alerts
Internal movements, reasons, approvals and ownership for every change.
Operational reporting
Selected areas counted without closing the whole warehouse.
The working environment
The interface is optimised by role—from a mobile warehouse operator to the head of operations.
01 / Control centre
Operations overview
Live inventory, orders and alerts by warehouse.
02 / Mobile flow
Picking
Next item, exact location and scan confirmation.
03 / Control
Cycle count
Planned zones, variance and adjustment approval.
Engineering and rollout
14 weeks: discovery, prototype, one-location pilot and phased rollout.
Observation and model
On-site work, movement mapping and the item and location model.
Prototype and devices
Critical mobile actions tested with operators and selected scanners.
Iterative delivery
Receiving, inventory, transfers, picking, documents and reporting.
Pilot and rollout
Opening stock, pilot warehouse, training and staged activation of the other facilities.
Key challenges
The core challenge was retaining the speed of physical warehouse work while introducing stronger traceability.
Unstable connectivity
The mobile flow keeps a small local queue and clearly shows actions awaiting sync.
Units of measure
An item can arrive by pallet, be stored by case and sold individually with exact conversion.
Transition without closure
Each facility used a controlled count and its own cutover window.
Demonstration outcomes
Demo outcome: shorter order handling, accurate shared inventory and materially faster discrepancy investigation. The indicators represent a realistic scenario six months after full rollout.
